If you are only telling the Chiropractic story in your office, then you are doing a great dis-service to mankind! There are times when you meet a person, and unless you are acutely aware of subtle clues, you won’t see that they are crying out to YOU!

Ann Marie and a friend, having just returned to the hotel after a wedding, came over to our little circle of discussion late one evening during New Beginnings. She was very curt, and to keep it short, she was annoyed that we had “an attitude.” We had just finished the firewalk program, and our only attitude was joy!!!! She continued to attack any of our words. We asked her to sit down and relax. She looked angry and sad at the same time. In the course of the conversation, she blurted out something about not being able to have a baby! BINGO! There was the cause of her reaction to our apparent joyfulness!

I sat down next to her and put my arm around her. I began asking questions. How long had they tried? What were people saying to her? I found out that it had been 2 ½ years since she started trying to conceive. Her gynecologist told her she could not help her anymore, and referred her to a fertility specialist. Her parents and other relatives were telling her to get over it and adopt. Her friends tried to avoid the conversation, and many of them were pregnant or had babies, which made it even more difficult her. I asked her if she ever thought about chiropractic. Of course, she hadn’t. I told her of patients who were told that they would never have children, and after chiropractic care were able to conceive. I told her that the power that made her body could heal her body and explained very briefly about the subluxation and it’s effect on our bodies. I didn’t want to give her false hope, telling her that chiropractic would remove the interference to her nervous system, allow her body to begin to function better, that the healing would come from inside out and when that happens, miracles happen!

I asked her one more question. I asked her if she would rather remove the cause to her problem, or just go for fertility shots or opt for adoption. She started to cry and told me that removing the cause is all she wants. So, I found out where she lives and works, gave her the name of a local chiropractor, gave her the names of people who can give her more support, and gave her a hug!

I didn’t spend a lot of time with Ann Marie. I did give her my undivided attention and love. She was very grateful. She was smiling for the first time since we met her. I don’t know if she will ever email me or call me, but she does have the information I gave to her. Now it’s her responsibility, not mine, to decide what course she will take.
I hope it is the right one. I hope it is chiropractic!
 

Whispers...

The man whispered, "God, speak to me" and a meadowlark sang.

But, the man did not hear.

So the man yelled, "God, speak to me" and the thunder rolled across the sky.

But, the man did not listen.

The man looked around and said, "God, let me see you."

And a star shined brightly. But the man did not see.

And, the man shouted, "God, show me a miracle."

And, a life was born. But, the man did not notice.

So, the man cried out in despair, "Touch me God, and let me know you are here."

Whereupon, God reached down and touched the man. But, the man brushed the butterfly away and walked on.

This is a great reminder that there is a powerful and positive force called Universal Intelligence, always around us, it is in the little and simple things that we take for granted ...

So I would like to add one more:

The Chiropractor cried, "God, I need your help!"

God had a group of Chiropractors send E-mails and letters about a meetings and a movement in Chiropractic called New Beginnings..

But the Chiropractor stayed home and ignored the meetings... he felt he didn't

need to share or be around successful Chiropractors or Chiropractic families....
