My Community
by Dr. Scott Lloyd
It is such a pleasure that I am blessed to
live in a community where people understand that they are unique divine
creations; that they are spiritual beings having a human experience
rather than human beings having a spiritual experience. This is
understanding of our true nature is so important, for when we identify
with the spirit, we act more accordingly. When we identify with spirit it
reminds us that the power within the body heals the body and healing
comes from within.
Another beautiful aspect of the character
of our community is the clarity families have in putting healing, health,
wellness, and wholeness as a top priority so they may experience higher
levels of life and all the blessings that accompany the higher levels of
life.
It is an honor to learn and grow from so
many wonderful people. It is an honor to serve God through the ministry
of the Café of Life.
When I see the a hah moments and the
smiling eyes from the hearts and minds of the many participants in the
Evenings of Enlightenment and the Life Connection Seminars, I know that I
am truly making a difference in so many lives.
The hunger for people to learn, evolve and
grow is self evident in our community…and the willingness of the
individuals to take action and apply what they learn is an inspiration to
all.
The loving kindness in our community sets
an overall tone of respect for one another and I see people living out
the great commandment of love thy neighbor as you love thyself.
I appreciate being able to use my talents
and gifts to contribute to the well being of our community and the
individuals in it. I am in deep gratitude for the abundant blessings that
I am receiving constantly from my community in all areas of my life:
spiritually, financially, physically, mentally, emotionally, familiarly,
vocationally, and socially.
In our community it seems that the cycle
of giving and receiving is in an abundant flow and balance.
I am amazed at the continuous miracles
that happen through the chiropractic adjustments served with love and
light at the Café of Life.
Sometimes I pinch myself to see if this is
really happening, and then I am reminded of the true nature of our
being…and realize that I am the blessed and I am in the overflow of God’s
love and abundance.
I am grateful when I remember back to the
time in my life when I was in wilderness, in that dry place where God was
collaborating with me to work things out of me so that I was able to
become the fertile soil that bears much fruit and blessing that I am now.
Thank you for sharing in our community.
May the blessings flow from above down inside out.
Something
to think about.......
by
Dr.
Jim Dubel
You always hear the usual stories of
pennies on the sidewalk being good luck, gifts from angels, etc. This is
the first time I've ever heard this twist on the story.
Gives you something to think about.
Several weeks ago, a patient of mine and
his wife were invited to spend the weekend at the husband's employer's
home.
My patient, Bob, was nervous about the
weekend.
The boss was very wealthy, with a fine
home on the waterway, and cars costing more than their house. The first
day and evening went well, and Bob was delighted to have this rare
glimpse into how the very wealthy live. The employer was quite generous
as a host, and took them to the finest restaurants. Bob knew he would
never have the opportunity to indulge in this kind of extravagance again,
so was enjoying himself immensely. As the three of them were about to
enter an exclusive restaurant that evening, the boss was walking slightly
ahead of Bob and his wife. He stopped suddenly, looking down on the
pavement for a long, silent moment.
Bob wondered if he was supposed to pass
him. There was nothing on the ground except a single darkened penny that
someone had dropped, and a few cigarette butts Still silent, the man
reached down and picked up the penny.
He held it up and smiled, then put it in
his pocket as if he had found a great treasure.
How absurd! What need did this man have
for a single penny? Why would he even take the time to stop and pick it
up?
Throughout dinner, the entire scene nagged
at him. Finally, he could stand it no longer. Bob casually mentioned that
his daughter once had a coin collection, and asked if the penny he had
found had been of some value.
A smile crept across the man's face as he
reached into his pocket for the penny and held it out for her to see. Bob
had seen many pennies before! What was the point of this?
'Look at it.' He said. 'Read what it
says.' She read the words ' United States of America ' 'No, not that;
read further.' 'One cent?' 'No, keep reading.' 'In God we Trust?' 'Yes!'
'And?' 'And if I trust in God, the name of God is holy, even on a coin.
Whenever I find a coin I see that inscription. It is written on every
single United States coin, but we never seem to notice it!
God drops a message right in front of me
telling me to trust Him? Who am I to pass it by? When I see a coin, I
pray, I stop to see if my trust IS in God at that moment. I pick the coin
up as a response to God; that I do trust in Him. For a short time, at
least, I cherish it as if it were gold. I think it is God's way of
starting a conversation with me. Lucky for me, God is patient and pennies
are plentiful!
When I was out shopping today, I found a
penny on the sidewalk. I stopped and picked it up, and realized that I
had been worrying and fretting in my mind about things I cannot change. I
read the words, 'In God We Trust,' and had to laugh. Yes, God, I get the
message.
It seems that I have been finding an
inordinate number of pennies in the last few months, but then, pennies
are plentiful! And, God is patient..
Thought for the Day:
If God had a refrigerator, your picture
would be on it.
If He had a wallet, your photo would be in
it.
He sends you flowers every spring.
He sends you a sunrise every morning Face
it, - He is crazy about you!
God didn't promise days without pain,
laughter without sorrow, sun without rain, but He did promise strength
for the day, comfort for the tears, and light for the way.
Read this line very slowly and let it sink
in...
If God brings you to it, He will bring you
through it.
The patients you see today are the ones
GOD intended you to see...
Serve each of them and love them as if
they were your own family..
Chiropractic is like a penny found on the
sidewalk.. A gift from GOD !

online storefront with products and supplies for doctors of chiropractic.
This storefront is the Now You Know Inc.
professional version of the Chiropractic Depot

fill a need. The need was to empower this profession with strong,
committed, principled graduates. To do so, students today need to share
in the passion of practicing DCs. They need Chiropractic Philosophy at
its best. They need New Beginnings.
All
