Presidential Search Life University

Dacula, GA 30019

Dear Dr. Rowberry,

I am writing to you regarding your search for the new President at Life University. While I’m certain that you have many qualified applicants, I believe there is one who should clearly stand out above the rest. I would humbly like to endorse Dr. Robert Braile, D.C. for that esteemed position, in this critical time for Life.

The first time I met Dr. Braile was when, as ICA President, he spoke at my school around 1996. As President of the Student ICA, I had the honor and privilege of escorting Dr. Braile around and spending time with him. It was exhilarating to hear Dr. Braile’s wisdom and passion for Chiropractic. It was also very interesting to observe him in action. Simply, Dr. Robert Braile commands respect – in my years at school I did not observe Dr. Carl Cleveland III, “stop talking and snap to attention” for very many people. He did for Dr. Bobby Braile. While I don’t know the entire story of the challenges that the CCE has concocted for your school, I believe Dr. Braile has the presence, wisdom, vision, and charisma, which are necessary to save Life University.

Please understand, Dr. Rowberry, while I did not attend Life College, School of Chiropractic, (for better or for worse as hindsight is 20/20), I deeply value Life as a vital force in preserving true Chiropractic. I truly wish that one of the medi-practor schools were instead facing these challenges. Unfortunately, that’s not how the CCE or a disturbing number of state boards seem to work. I believe we need a leader, a principled visionary, and a fighter who can negotiate and build alliances but will stand up for what he believes is right. If there is one thing that I know about Dr. Robert Braile, whether as President of the ICA, as the driving entrepreneurial force behind a successful Chiropractic web site design company, or as a man is that he will get the job done. Life University needs a President the caliber of Dr. Robert Braile. Thank you for your time. If can be of service please don’t hesitate to call me at (303) 425-9000.

God Bless You and God Bless Life College.

Respectfully,

Ron Miller D.C.

Dear Dr. Rowberry,

Here’s what it comes down to, “strength, endurance, emotion and skill”. This is what my baseball coach used to tell us on the “how to’s” of winning the game. The other thing I learned from him was to know your instructions better than your nearest competitor. This is the type of leadership necessary as President of Life University.

I write to you today with a letter of endorsement and support for Dr. Bob Braile to be the next President of Life University.

I have known Dr. Braile for many years now, I consider him a friend and a highly regarded professional colleague of mine. His knowledge, experience, expertise and passion for our profession have been a tremendous influence in not just my life, but in other Chiropractor’s lives as well.

I am very aware of his administrative and business skills and would work with him on any of these projects that he’s involved in.

Personally, I know “Bobby” to be someone who listens, cares and shows empathy toward others in need of such. He can’t teach you to accept responsibility, but he sure can light your fire to guide you down a new and more productive path. I thank him for always listening to me and for allowing me to listen to him.

I would absolutely lend my physical and financial support should he become Life University’s next President. Thank you, Bob Braile!

Let’s make the “proper” choice by choosing someone who knows the instructions.

Sincerely,

Craig Berko, D.C.

Dear Dr. Rowberry

I would strongly urge you to choose Dr. Robert Braile as the next Presidency of Life University. I have had a personal and professional relationship with Dr. Braile for over 20 years. Dr. Braile is an ethical, philosophically based Chiropractor. Dr. Brail has many unique talents, which keep him on the cutting edge of what is relevant in Chiropractic both politically and personally. Dr. Braile has held many positions in the hierarchy of the Chiropractic profession, as you well know, in which he has had to make critical decisions affecting our profession. He has ‘ been there, done that ‘, a credential that should serve him well when he takes the leadership of Life University. I have always known him to exude personal confidence and poise a trait, which your future president must have to attract students and also deal with the media. Dr. Braile is an accomplished speaker, author, businessman and educator. Dr. Braile is a proven visionary, a counterpart to active presidents of other Chiropractic institutions. In the quest to remain on top in the competitive arena of Chiropractic institutions his winning credentials cannot be overlooked. It is my firm belief that Dr. Bob Braile must be the next president of Life University.

I write this recommendation with love and deepest concern for our glorious profession as well for Life College of Chiropractic. I consider myself a founding member of your institution. I have hanging in my office an honorary degree given to me by Dr. Sid Williams. I have financially supported Life University since before its birth.

Sincerely,

Robert W. Tarantino D.C.

To Whom It May Concern.

At times persons with leadership ability can stare us In the face and we do not see them. This is especially true when we know a person quite well, such can be the case at Life College. As you review applications for the presidency at Life please seriously consider the candidacy of Dr. Robert Braile.

I have known Bob Braile for over two decades now and I believe he can rise to the task of the leadership of Life College. Dr. Braile's leadership ability can be clearly seen in the political arena In his performance as ICA's President and now as chairman of the Board of ICA. Bob is capable of communicating with all chiropractors in a friendly and open manner and no longer can be viewed as a Sid Williams devotee. He has clearly separated himself from this Image.

Dr. Braile Is contemporary, he is well received by young people and in this light, student recruitment and fund raising would certainly fall into his line of expertise.

Dr. Braile's integrity is unblemished in the world of chiropractic. He Is viewed as a successful chiropractor, a teacher and communicator of the sound principles our science is based upon. He is a man of vision and commitment, a philosophical subluxation based chiropractor whose conservative stance in chiropractic would satisfy the expectations of Life's alumni.

Your Board should seriously consider the candidacy of Dr. Robert Braile.

Best regards,

Dear Dr. Rowberry

The Board of Trustees of Life University must act quickly to insure the stability of its students and the future of the institution. My experiences as a former Board of Trustee member of S.C.A.S.A. and Southern California School of Chiropractic gives me some insight into the process of presidential selection and accreditation issues.  I fully recognize the depth of passion and responsibility you must feel.  When SCSC lost its accreditation, the process of filling the void with a new president took months of hard deliberation. It is my opinion that Life University does not have such luxury as time. It is also my experience that the office of President must command both the professional respect and confidence of its constituency.

I have lived through the hardest times at Sherman College, both as a student and alumni, when our accreditation seemed just out of our reach. After the retirement of Dr. Gelardi, it took the hard work of devoted chiropractors, who had the vision and tenacity to go the extra mile and never give up, to bring Sherman College to the status it now holds. Non-chiropractors can fulfill all necessary requirements for presidency but being a qualified educator is not enough, in my opinion. Education and leadership “with that something extra”, can only come from someone who is intimately involved with the life and breath of our great profession. In my opinion, education and administrative know how are given traits you must consider but leadership makes things happen. Nothing turns adversity to prosperity better than a respected leader.

I would strongly urge you to consider the application of Dr. Robert Braile as such a candidate for Presidency of Life University. My strong professional relationship with Dr. Braile began in 1985, in Florida. Dr. Braile was my mentor in the art of running a principled chiropractic practice. His unique talents were always on the cutting edge of technology yet never so bold as to overshadow the Principal. I have always witnessed concise decision-making throughout his growing career. He has also proven that he can “take the heat” with his recent tenure as ICA president. His professional confidence and poise is only exceeded by his ability to get things done. His extensive knowledge of the “who’s who” in chiropractic and politics is an invaluable asset in times when critical decision-making is in order. I also can attest that I have never witnessed the slightest hesitation in upholding the vision and virtues of chiropractic often above his own dreams.

Dr. Braile is an accomplished speaker, author, educator and businessman, traits rarely found in one individual. It is my firm belief that Dr. Braile is a candidate that commands respect and your serious consideration. I realize that there are others who would qualify, in your judgment, as presidential candidates but as a fellow author, speaker, educator, businessman and former Board Member of two chiropractic organizations, I can tell you that I would feel confident and excited having Dr. Braile fulfilling your mandates to bring “Life” back to life and into the future.

Yours in Service,

Sal Martingano, D.C.

Dear Board Members,

During these troubled times for Life University, it is important that we bring on a new president who not only will correct the problems that the school has been addressing with CCE, but also will bring a renewed dynamic leadership to the university.

Hiring a president must be a blend of academic improvement and a strong foundation to the principles of chiropractic. Therefore, I ask that you consider Dr. Bobby Braile as your choice. Dr. Braile will bring that dynamic leadership to the institution and with his many contacts and friends in the academic community, he will keep a strong base for learning and improving.

Just because an individual has more letters after his/her name does not automatically make that person the right choice.

Thank you for considering Dr. Braile.

Dear Dr. Rowberry,

First of all, please allow me to thank you in advance for reviewing my letter.  Currently, Life University is experiencing the worst dilemma in its history – the loss of accreditation and searching for a replacement for Dr. Sid Williams as President of Life University.  I for one, hate to see the dilemma that Life University is experiencing, however, in order to recover from this predicament, Life University is going to need a President that displays vision, leadership, and passion for the university and chiropractic, as well as the willingness to instill an unwavering standard for work ethics and have a positive influence over CCE, faculty, staff, students and alumnus.  Furthermore, the individual to replace Dr. Williams should possess experience in chiropractic, academics, the ability to understand the guidelines of CCE and communicate effectively with it’s members, in addition to, a moral fiber of unwavering confidence and passion to oversee these trying times with the ability to look towards the future with an entrepreneur spirit and intrinsic motivation for the success of Life University and the chiropractic profession.

I would like to take this opportunity to recommend Dr. Robert Braile, DC for the position of President at Life University.  Besides possessing the above traits, Dr. Braile possesses the ability to lead Life University back to greatness.  His past experience as a successful practicing Chiropractor ensures his knowledge and expertise on the challenges that new graduates face in the ever-increasing changing market for chiropractic services.  His past experience as a CCE team trainee ensures his understanding and ability to communicate effectively with CCE, as well as guarantee the hurdles that Life University faces are tackled and new insight is given to the future success for the university. Additionally, his past endeavors as an instructor at Life University provides him the advantage to understand the challenges for faculty and students alike.  Moreover, Dr. Braile has an excellent track record in team-building relationships, which he has demonstrated in the past as an Administrator and faculty member at Life University.  More importantly, his unique ability to employ others to reach common goals through positive attitude and conviction in order to meet and supersede not only his but others expectations, establishes Dr. Braile as a unique individual, which many of us strive to become.  Lastly, his own intrinsic motivation as a chiropractic entrepreneur and past experience as an administrator confirms the future success for Life University.

In closing, I feel that you could not look any further nor have a more qualified individual who possesses the skills, knowledge, motivation, and integrity needed for the position of President of Life University.  Dr. Braile is a contributing factor not only in my current pursuit to become a chiropractor but many other students, as well as practicing chiropractors too.  Hopefully, you too will recognize the greatness that many other students, practicing chiropractors, and I have seen in Dr. Braile.

Again, thank you in advance for your time and consideration of Dr Robert Braile, DC as President of Life University.

 Chiropractically yours,

Dear Dr. Rowberry,

Thank you for all the time and work you must be doing in search of the new President of Life University. My letter is to express support for Dr. Robert Braile. I have know Dr. Braile for a

minimum of 20 years and most of that time I have worked with him in the ICA. I have been both

on his side and against him on issues and we have maintained respect for each other no matter the outcome. I appreciate Bob for his abilities to motivate and lead the membership of the ICA.

I have been in various leadership positions and am currently the Chairperson of the ICA Assembly Representatives. I know first hand the Assembly holds Dr. Braile in high regard and they are a diverse group from which to gain full respect.

It is my experience that Dr Braile would do a great job as President of Life University and I encourage your endorsement for his Presidency.

Good luck in your search.

Dear Dr. Rowberry,

It has been my pleasure to have been associated with Life Chiropractic College over the last 14 years. First, as a supporter of student recruitment, as a member of the President’s Club, and most importantly as a stalwart believer of the Chiropractic vision and the principle it represents.

We are all saddened by the events of late with Life University, the accreditation process, and the crises it represents to Chiropractic itself. Currently we are at a juncture when Chiropractic and Life University needs decisive leadership to help them through this ordeal—not only to save Life University, but to save the very principles for which the college was founded upon and represents.

It is my opinion that leader is Dr. Bob Braile. I implore you to give this dedicated, principled Chiropractor every consideration as the next permanent president at Life University. Time is of the essence. Dr. Braile has experience as a leader, as a public speaker, as a motivator, as a student recruiter, and as a stabilizing force for the faculty and Alumni. He is your best choice to get the job done.

Sincerely,

Dear Dr. Rowberry,

Please allow me to recommend Bob Braile, DC for the position of President of Life University. He is a man of great principle and character and he has my highest confidence as a leader. He has been a close friend and teacher to me and I have served with him in Florida and ICA politics, since the early 1980's. He led the Continuing Education Department with great skill and I was proud to serve with him there, also. I know him well and have seen him under great pressure, and he has, without exception, searched for the best possible solution for the problem, regardless of personal cost. He has always taken the higher ground, doing what is best for his patient, his student, for principled chiropractic. I know few people like him and would proudly serve with him under any circumstance.

He has served our profession in many capacities, most of which I am sure you are familiar. When he was the president of the ICA, a daunting task at best, he was a very "hands on" leader, very accessible, and always gave those who served him the tools to get their jobs done well and to problem-solve to continue to make the organization better and better. His ability to work with all types of people and with other organizations with differing philosophies without watering down his own is a source of great inspiration to me. He has always stood firm in his stand on subluxation and on the philosophy of chiropractic, the same philosophy of Life University.

As a former member of Life's Board of Trustees and a past president of Life Alumni, I can only imagine the magnitude of the task before you. The loss of accreditation has troubled me greatly and I know that choosing a new president must weigh heavily on you all, as well. I know many of the doctors on the Board of Trustees personally, and I hope that they each know me as a chiropractor that loves our profession and our school and will consider the weight of my recommendation as it is intended. I am excited for the possibilities that this crisis holds for the future, as I know it will strengthen us and make us better for having weathered the storm. I believe with all my heart that Bob Braile is the best person to lead the school right now, that he has the unique combination of talents and abilities that will be invaluable at this time in our university's and in chiropractic's history.

You may call me, or email, if you have any questions that I may answer at 904-797-5100 or dth@drdanita.com .

Dear Life Board

As a Life grad ('89), practicing DC and faculty member at Life U, I wholeheartedly endorse and recommend on the strongest and highest possible terms Dr. Bob Braile for new President of Life U, as does my wife, Dr. Lisa, also faculty at Life U. He has experience as a president (ICA), knows how to run successful businesses, and how to motivate students, faculty and staff to continue the vision that Life U. began with. Please help Life maintain its place in the future of chiropractic with the right person at the helm.

Yours truly,

Dr. Drew Rubin, D.C.

Dr. Lisa Rubin, Ph.D.

Dear Life Trustees,

It saddens me to see all the negative attention that has been directed toward Life and Dr. Sid in particular. Somehow, we must make lemonade from all these lemons. It has come to my attention, that the school must now try to fill the position of president, left empty by the premature departure of Dr. Sid.

If anyone were to ask me who should be president after Dr. Sid were to retire, had the present situation not occurred, my answer would be the same. That person would be Robert Braille, D.C.. Before going in to his qualifications, let me first introduce myself. I am a 1983 graduate of Life Chiropractic College. I have been practicing in the state of Florida for over 18 years. I have been the president-elect of the Florida Chiropractic Society and served as the co-chairman of the joint FCS/FCA Guidelines committee, that produced the current practice guidelines for Florida. I was also on the ad hoc committee of the ICA's practice guidelines. I served as an examiner for the Board of Chiropractic for many years and actually helped write questions for the examination. I have been selected as both the FCS's chiropractor of the year and researcher of the year. I am currently in the last year of law school at the University of Miami, where I am the Editor-in-Chief of the school newspaper, Speaker of the Student Bar Association, and on the Business Law Review. I plan on using my law degree to champion chiropractic rights and the rights of the citizenry to access chiropractic care, by specializing in state and federal administrative, insurance, health, and appellate law.

I have known Bobby for over fifteen years. I have worked with him on the FCS board, where he was the president-elect before moving to Georgia to work for Life, and in trying to establish a chiropractic managed care program. I have yet to meet a person with more integrity or to be more genuine than he. Bobby has enjoyed the support of his peers for many years and has earned their respect no matter the circumstance, as is evidenced by his being chairman of the board of the ICA.

Personally, I was hoping that he would join me in law school, as I can think of no person that I would rather call my partner, or who has more knowledge of chiropractic and its specific needs. Bobby's willingness to accept the position of president of Life University, is an opportunity that the Trustees should be honored to have at their disposal. He is young, vibrant, charismatic, intelligent, personable, accessible, tireless, and is already in your own backyard. I respectfully urge that you select Robert Braille, D.C., to be the next president of Life University, and do so quickly before he changes his mind.

Respectfully yours,

Henry M. Rubinstein, D.C.

Miami, Florida

Dear Board of Trustees of Life University,

I respectfully request that you consider Dr. Bob Braile for the presidency of Life University. Dr. Braile has a proven track record as a trusted and respected leader in our great profession. He is committed to the chiropractic principles that Life University was founded on, and he has put together a plan to help the school through this challenging time.

Greetings Life Board Members,

I just read on the website the announcement of Dr. Michael Schmidt as the interim President of Life University.

If this appointment is truly on an interim basis and a legitimate search is going to be undertaken I am writing to urge you to consider Dr. Robert Braile for the position of President of Life University. Though I was asked to leave Life under unhappy circumstances, it is still my alma mater and the education that I got there allowed me to be eminently successful in practice. I still have a Life license plate on my car and I understand the importance of the survival of Life University both inside and outside the profession.

If you look at the chiropractic schools that are vying for leadership in the field of chiropractic education at this time, Palmer and Parker, both of them have charismatic, dynamic personalities in the office of the President. Both of these individuals are DC’s that have a unique management style that has allowed their schools to avoid the precipitous drop in enrollment that other schools have suffered. I also know that these individuals have surrounded themselves with academicians that are thoroughly familiar with the accreditation process. Dr. Braile himself has been trained by the CCE to serve as a site visitation team member and is familiar with the accreditation process. However he knows that his strength is in chiropractic and has already reached out to expert members of the academic community that would serve in his administration that are familiar with the requirements to regain accreditation.

Dr. Braile has been successful wherever he has been. He maintained a successful practice in Florida seeing 500 patients per week for close to 17 years. He has been a speaker at numerous seminars and conventions including Dynamic Essentials. He has been involved in chiropractic politics on both a state level with the Florida Chiropractic Society serving as Vice-President and on a national level with the International Chiropractors Association holding numerous offices that have included President and currently as Chairman of the Board. As President, the I.C.A. enjoyed unprecedented growth in membership and revenue. He has been an instructor and administrator at Life University and is familiar with the school’s infrastructure.

At this time it is necessary for the Board to take bold steps if the school is to be saved as Life University and continue to teach the principles that we all hold so dear. Dr. Braile’s familiarity with the concepts of Lasting Purpose is exceeded by very few. He will continue to emphasize to students that chiropractic is an art, science, and philosophy and that it is an entirely separate and distinct form of health care. At the same time he will not minimize the fact that chiropractors are primary health care providers and must be trained as such.

I understand that Dr. Braile has already forwarded to many of you his outline to regain accreditation and restructure the school. I hope that you have reviewed this document. If the Board wishes to have a President that can continue to attract students then there is no better candidate. Again I urge you to consider Dr. Braile in your search.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

B. J. Harman, M.S.; D.C; F.I.C.A.

I am writing in support of Dr. Bob Braile for the position of president of  Life University. I was one of the lucky students several years ago that was able to have Dr. Braile as a teacher and his knowledge and passion for chiropractic was unmet by any other teacher. His true love and devotion to chiropractic and its principles leaves no room for anyone else to hold the position that will turn Life University around. If the board truly wants Life to get back on its feet and become the best chiropractic school once more then there is only one choice-Dr Bob Braile!

Dear Chuck,

As Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Life University, I know that you and the board are tirelessly working to quickly and effectively fill the enormous void left by the resignation of Dr. Sid Williams. I believe that our profession needs to have the leadership of a fellow Chiropractor as president of Life University, not only for credentialing purposes, but more importantly for the protection, preservation and perpetuation of principled Chiropractic, the Chiropractic that we know and love.

Sherman College chose a non-Chiropractor PhD to lead it’s college rather than a principled, philosophically sound Chiropractor, and from what I’ve heard, it’s not working out too well. Chiropractors need to lead Chiropractic into the future.

Dr. Robert Braile has been a long-time friend and colleague. We attended New York Chiropractic College together, along with Dr. Frank Nicci, President of New York Chiropractic College. Our class was one of the strongest chiropractic classes in the school’s history. I feel that Dr. Braile has years of experience and dedication, not only as a Chiropractor, but also as a politician, being a past I.C.A. president and as an educator serving Life University. Dr. Braile has been a long-time supporter of Life and it’s strong philosophy as it is evident throughout his current undertakings in communicating the Chiropractic principle to Chiropractors all over the world.

Dr. Braile’s communication skills have the potential to re-ignite the flame that once burned so brightly in the Life students as well as all of the D.C.’s who constantly referred students to Life in the past.

The Board of Trustees holds in it’s hands the future of Chiropractic. Let’s be cautious who we choose to lead our profession. As B.J. said, we have a secret trust and we must guard it well. Please keep your minds and hearts open. I trust you will all make the right decision.

Sincerely,

Attention Board of Trustees for Life University,

I have never in my wildest dreams thought I would ever see or have to write a letter in support of some one else taking the helm of Life University.

First I would like to tell you that all of your are appreciated for you tireless effort to make the hard decisions that are necessary to prevent the closing of Life University. As an alumni and donor I love this school. I know it still has many CHIROPRACTORS that need to graduate from this school to keep Chiropractic separate and distinct in the health care arena.

It has come to my attention that Dr. Bobby Braile is very interested in being appointed as interim president and the once life is fully accredited to be part of the new administration process. I am very much in support of his abilities and talents to be excellent in this position.

I believe that in order to run a school of Chiropractic you have to be a chiropractor. In order to run a school you better have a great business sense, need to see the signs that say your plan is working or not working and make decisions. You need to see in others the strengths and weaknesses: if they belong in the position keep them if they do not get rid of them. Dr Braile can do that and can get Life University right with CCE and right with students. The students have lost faith, Dr. Braile can restore it. As an Alumni I see him as a great choice and be proud to know he is leading Life University back to it's place in educating future chiropractors.

Respectfully yours

Life University

Chairman & Board of Trustees

Dear Chairman and Board of Trustees and Friends of Life:

I am writing this letter to recommend Dr. Robert Braile as the next President for Life University. Dr. Braile should be chosen as the next President because he is a true leader and a chiropractor. Only a person with strong leadership and the proper chiropractic vision can carry the legacy that Dr. Sid Williams has created.

I have known Dr. Braile for many years and I have seen his accomplishments. I have sat on the Board of Trustees with him as the President of the Florida Chiropractic Society and we have fought side by side for Chiropractic. While I had the privilege to work with him, I noticed that Dr. Braile was an exceptional motivator, communicator and a friend of the D.E. movement. Not to mention of course that Dr. Braile has experience with Life. He understands Life as he has already worked at Life.

Please understand how crucial it is to choose the correct person for this position. The wrong person could obviously sink this whole empire down the bottom of the ocean. I can truly see Dr. Braile taking Life University to a new level including the accreditation difficulties that Life is now facing. Please choose Dr. Braile a man always working to put Chiropractic in the forefront.

Chiropractically yours,

Daniel Abeckjerr, D.C.

President of the Florida Chiropractic Society

For one, I am excited for the possibilities that this crisis holds for the future, as I know it will strengthen us and make us better for having weathered the storm. I believe with all my heart that Bob Braile is the best person to lead the school right now, that he has the unique combination of talents and abilities that will be invaluable at this time in our university's and in chiropractic's history.

You may call me, or email, if you have any questions that I may answer at 904-797-5100 or dth@drdanita.com

Dear Board of Trustees of Life University:

I am in great empathy with your current situation. As the former vice-president of the Board of Trustees of Pennsylvania College of Straight Chiropractic, I am all too well aware of the chaos and fear surrounding this tumultuous time at Life. When we lost approval by the COA of CCE, we fought and struggled through the same scenarios you are now facing. From experience, what you need now more than ever is strong, stable, reasonable and principled leadership. You need someone who is well respected in the profession and will be able to stem the tide of this assault. I believe that someone is amongst your midst,- Dr. Bob Braile.

I have know Bob for over twenty-seven years. We were classmates at NYCC. I have known him through dealings with ICA. I believe he has the expertise, knowledge and discipline necessary to help Life through this time and correct the issues which now face you.

Most of all, I know of Bob's love and concern for students. If there is anything that drives him, it's his desire to help these students through this situation and once again restore Life back to its prominence in chiropractic education.

I have all the confidence in the world in Bob and I hope you strongly consider him for the presidency of Life University.

Sincerely,

Anthony J. DeCosta, D.C.

PS. If I can be of any assistance regarding resolving some of the situations you are now encountering with CCE, please do not hesitate to contact me. (908) 755-1117 Remember, I've been there with these people!!

Dear Board of Trustees,

I am very sorry and disappointed to hear about the recent troubles that Life University has had with it's accreditation status. I am a graduate of Life University and a practicing chiropractor in the state of Georgia, and I'm sure I join many alumni of the university in sending you our thoughts prayers for the decisions you must make in the near future to ensure the continuation of what Dr. Williams has created in Life University.

That is why I am writing you to suggest you listen to the ideas that Dr. Bob Braile has for getting Life University back on track to accreditation while preserving the "Big Idea" that Life has fought so long and hard to maintain. I have known Dr. Braile for many years and can say with complete confidence I know of no other person who would be better for the job of interim president of Life University. Dr. Braile's years of experience in Chiropractic and Education as well as his dedication to the principles that Life University was built upon make him an ideal candidate for this position.

Dr. Braile is a well known and highly respected leader of the chiropractic profession, with supporters from coast to coast. He has the business sense to get the job done and the backbone to keep the focus on turning out the best chiropractors in the world. His years of work in the profession and the connections he has made make him the ideal person to navigate the university through the troubled waters it now finds itself in.

Gentlemen, you have but one chance to make sure that Life University maintains it's position as the leading chiropractic institution in the world and doesn't wind up a memory of what could have been. A good leader weighs all the options, hears all the sides of the story, then makes the best decision possible with what is available. If you have not taken the time to hear the ideas that Dr. Braile has for fixing Life's current problems, then you have effectively cut off a strong leg of support and will severely limit your chances of success in this matter.

I wish you a clear mind, a strong will, and lots of luck in making your decision on the future of Life University.

Dr. Gary Easter

Carrollton, GA

Everyone who knows Bob Braile D.C. and has excellence in Chiropractic education as their purpose will join me in recommending him for this job.

 Sincerely,

 Salvatore D. LaRusso D.C., F.I.C.A.

Dear Life University Board of Trustees,

The purpose of this letter is to endorse Dr. Bob Braille's decision to run for the presidency of Life University. As an alumni of Life, I had the pleasure of having Dr. Braille as an instructor for chiropractic philosophy. Dr. Braille is truly a dynamic instructor and leader who I believe is most qualified to follow our most beloved Dr. Sid. Having served as the ICA president, Dr. Braille has demonstrated that he possesses the leadership capabilities to enable Life university to thrive and prosper. I whole-heartedly believe that Dr. Braille has the unique combination of experience and dedication to chiropractic that will allow Life to both maintain its philosophical foundations and, effectively address the educational and administrative issues. Dr. Braille has shown his support of Life University the past and will continue to do so as president. I can think of no one better to take the lead. Dr. Braille was and remains a great mentor of mine. His strong philosophy and leadership qualities are unsurpassed. Thank you for your consideration on this issue.

Yours in good health,

Dr. Matthew B. Shifflett

Pure n' Simple Family Chiropractic, Inc.

Dear Board members,

I have been greatly disturbed by the events of the past several months (and years). I urge you to do the right thing, appoint someone who has the political savvy to fix the problems that the previous administration has caused. I believe that Dr. Braile has the political contacts, and the organizational skills to save the school. He is principled and loves about our profession. He can fix it.

Please consider discussing this situation with him, in person or by phone.

Thank you for you time,

John Parlier, DC

To the Board of Trustees

Life University

As a 1989 Life alumni I would like to thank you for stepping up to the plate and making some of the toughest decisions for chiropractic that you will ever have to make. I have always considered myself a follower of Sid Williams and always will. The sacrifices and advances he has made for chiropractic are unparalleled. Your recent balance of friendship and devotion to both chiropractic and to Sid should be applauded and commended.

Now, you face another difficult decision by choosing a President. As a Florida State Alumni Representative serving over 1600 alumni, I have sat by helplessly unable to staunch the flow of blood as the life was drained from Life. I field calls daily from alumni on both sides of the coin. My greatest concern is the loss of financial support from Alumni. That could be devastating to whether Life has a future. I trust that your decision of interim President and ultimately of permanent President will be the best possible choice. I strongly feel the position calls for a known leader and motivator, someone with a passionate love for chiropractic and for Life, someone who has remained loyal to the vision of Life even in the face of adversity. The someone I speak of is Dr. Bobby Braile. I trust you will give Bobby serious consideration to prove himself at least as Interim President.

 Thank you for your consideration.

 Respectfully,

 Diane B. Tellier, D.C.

 Florida State Life Alumni Representative.

To The Board of Trustees,

I am writing to support Dr. Robert Braile for president of Life University. I have personally know him for 15 years. I have been inspired by his dedication to our profession of chiropractic and to the principle which it represents.

His determination to lead the profession on the path to national and international understanding and full acceptance in the health field is second to none. He speaks the truth and lives the truth of the life principle.  He has dedicated his life to chiropractic and, at times, he has set aside his family life to champion a cause in Chiropractic when needed and he has traveled throughout the United States.

The new president must be a doctor of chiropractic. A person who has lived the life of a chiropractic student and especially from Life University.
We don't need a dry, book educated individual unaware of the battle that the student will face once graduated and practicing. Nor do we need a leader creating a pseudo-medical school and throwing aside the history of Life College from it's humble, yet inspired beginnings.

Dr. Braile has the experience of what the student needs to be a successful primary care doctor of chiropractic. He was a student during the early years and is a practicing chiropractor. His administrative leadership with national and state organizations, as well as, strong links to other schools of chiropractic are well-known and highly respected.

Dr. Braile is a noted motivator, organizer and successful business man consistently for years in chiropractic. He has extensively written and published in every chiropractic magazine and periodical.

With the advent of the new Palmer College in Florida, you will need a person with energy. A leader who can reach the student and potential student to stay and choose Life University as the preferred college for their education.

Dr. Braile will be a leader without ego. One who will accept your opinions and ask for it. You must act now before Palmer College west, central and south takes the lead. Dr. Braile must be selected for the position of president of Life University and maintain it as the greatest chiropractic college in the world.

Sincerely,

Michael La Rocca D.C
Clearwater, Florida

Dear Sirs:

My name is Tylor Anderson, DC. I have been in active practice for almost seven years, and have seen a lot change in our wonderful profession in that time (and over the 20+ years I have been under chiropractic care). New of what is happening at LCC saddens me.

I am writing to urge you to put Dr. Braile in as the next president at LCC. He has proven leadership qualities, and I feel he is the best person to balance out the need for change at your school with the need to not lose the principles the school was founded on.

Please do not hand the reins of the school over to some "educator" that has no knowledge, appreciation or love of the basic principles of chiropractic.

Keep Dr. Sid's dream alive - keep chiropractic strong.

Yours in Health,

Tylor Anderson, DC

To Whom It May Concern,

As a graduate of Life College (96) I am quite concerned with the recent events involving the CCE. When I first decided to leave California to enroll at Life, it was due to the fact that Life was the biggest and best Chiropractic College in the World. It became the best due to its principals and philosophy. I am a big believer that with each problem comes an incredible opportunity. Life School of Chiropractic has the same opportunity now that the Palmer schools had a few years ago. They made a very wise decision and appointed Dr. Guy president of all 3 schools. What choice are you going to make? A non-chiropractor that does not understand the principals and philosophy that makes us such a great profession? Or a principled chiropractor that can take this University to the next level? The choice is yours.

I am not a Life graduate but rather a National grad. I have been watching this whole accreditation mess and consequent resignation somewhat as an outsider. But I feel very strongly that as a profession we need (or needed) strong leaders with strong principles. Dr. Sid Williams fit that description well. It is an embarrassment and large disappointment when someone like him leaves under such clouded circumstances. Regardless of the politics involved my hope is that Life can and will look for a person who has it in him to keep Chiropractic separate and distinct. Strong leaders with will and determination are difficult to find but I believe Dr. Bob Braille is such a man. Please consider him in your search. Chiropractic cannot afford one less leader.

Sincerely, Joe Balobeck D.C.

Hola to the Trustees at Life University,

My name is Liam P. Schubel D.C.

I am a December 1995 graduate of Life University and have been happily practicing here in Peru since then. I write to you from a chiropractic perspective outside that of the U.S. The rest of the world looks to the U.S. to be leaders in just about any topic you can think of. Chiropractic is no different. Thats is why I feel it is urgently necessary to fill the Life University presidency with a leader that can move us to "a higher ground".

I believe Dr. Bob Braile is that leader.

I was taught by him in Life University and can say from personal experience that he has an incredible ability to express the chiropractic principles to any audience. I still use some of the key points of his health talk during my "charlas" on tv, radio, and print media in Latin America.

The time is crucial to make a chiropractic statement to the world that resonates loudly from the fountainhead of Life. Please give the world a chiropractic leader not just someone with letters besides a name. Above my desk in Lima-Peru I have this quote from B.J. Palmer written back in the early 1900's

"There are only 5,000 chiropractors in the United States, only that many
that are full of pep and spreading the gospel. But America is only one
country. There is no difference between your backbone and that of a
chinese. It will be 100 years before we begin to scatter over the world. I
look to see the time when this institution will graduate 25,000 students a
year. It is just a question of whether I am big enought to swing it."

Well B.J. you were ahead of your time and prophetically correct again.... that 100 years is up and sure enough chiropractic is scattering throughout the world.

I trully hope that we are big enough to swing it. Shortly we will be starting the first Chiropractic University in Peru. When this occurs, I truly hope that we can look to a brilliant american chiropractic leader to help us in our mission. It would be great if Dr.Bob Braile was that leader.

Thank you for your time in reading this email. We love and appreciate all that you do for chiropractic.

ADIO y ADIOS,

Dear Board of Trustees,

Being a graduate of Life University I thought it only appropriate to let you know who I feel is the best canidate for the job of president of LIFE University, Dr. Robert Braile. I have had him as a teacher, I have seen him speak at seminars he knows how to motivate and lead. He is very philospically based and the right person to lead Life through the 21st century.

Dr. Christopher P. Simpson

To: Board of Trustees

From: Gene Cretsinger, D.C.

I know of know other candidates that you are considering. I do know Dr. Braile and as a candidate he has my full support. The tasks ahead will be enormous for the new President and Dr. Braile has the capabilities and the stamina for that task. I have seen him motivate the ICA Representative Assembly like no other person, and I have seen him as a strategist plan ICA's political pursuits. He is versatile and voracious in his work. I believe he is as capable as anyone in gaining the support from the field doctors in order to acquire the student population needed to maintain the college. I also believe he has attached himself to the success of Life College in Atlanta and will get it done.

Thank you for the work you are doing. I love and appreciate you very much.

To the Board of Trustees of Life University,
Since the departure of Dr. Sid Williams, the Board of Trustees of Life University must act quickly to insure the stability of its students and the future of the institution. My experiences as a former Board of Trustee member of S.C.A.S.A. gives me some insight into the process of accreditation issues. As a former member of the Board of Trustees of the Southern California School of Chiropractic, at a time when its very existence was hanging in the balance due to accreditation loss and financial attrition, I fully recognize the depth of passion and responsibility you must feel. At that time, filling the void with a new president took months of hard deliberation.
The office of President for both Sherman College and Southern California School of Chiropractic prospered most under the leadership of a respected fellow chiropractor. Surely, non-chiropractors can fulfill all necessary requirements for presidency but being a qualified educator is not enough, in my opinion.
I realize that there are others who would qualify, in your judgment, as presidential candidates but as a fellow author, speaker, educator, businessman and former Board Member of a chiropractic college, I can tell you that I would feel confident and excited having Dr. Braile fulfilling your mandates to bring “Life” back to life and into the future.
Yours in Service,
Sal Martingano, D.C.

Life University, Board of Trustees;

I am writing to support Dr. Bob Braile in the run for president of Life University.

Chiropractic is a profession that can only be fully understood and, I believe, taught by a doctor of chiropractic. The issue at Life is not just credentials but understanding.
