Kansas City, Kansas City here I come! That great old song rings true for ICA as they host their first ever "Conference on Philosophical Chiropractic Standards". ICA's newest council, the Council on Chiropractic Philosophy, is off to a great start with its Diplomate in Chiropractic Philosophy sponsored by Palmer College already up and running, and a conference focused entirely on chiropractic philosophy confirmed for May 17-18 at the Fairmont Hotel in Kansas City, Missouri.

Now You Know is proud to be there as a vendor, and as an endorsed service of ICA. We at Now You Know are excited and honored by the ICA endorsement. Over its 76 year history, this is only the fourth time the ICA has rendered an endorsement. We believe we have earned it through service to the profession and the ICA.

According to Dr. Fred Barge, chair of the ICA Philosophy Council, this conference is the first of its kind in the profession and is designed for doctors and students interested in serious discussion about the tenets and principles of chiropractic and want to understand and/or know more about "true" chiropractic philosophy. "It is not, "said Dr. Barge, "a motivational seminar, which many promote or believe is chiropractic philosophy. Don't get me wrong," he adds, "the topics will be motivating and inspiring, but at an intellectual level that we believe many in our profession want and need."

Every so often it is a good idea to toot your own horn. In this case we would prefer to do so by showing you how others toot our horn for us.

More doctors with our Newsletter service are using the new "Bulk Mailing" feature. This new feature allows NYK Newsletter subscribers to mail their own email messages out to their entire email list anytime they wish. This means that their patients not only get the great NYK monthly newsletter, but they also get any additional emails sent by the doctors themselves.

One pleasant surprise has been the acceptance of this new feature by the State associations and other chiropractic groups we service. The ability to contact all of the members of an association instantly in times of crisis is a capability that makes the NYK service indispensable to many state groups. One such group that has used this service very successfully is the DECE group (Doctors for Excellence in Chiropractic Education). Throughout the changing events at Life University, and during the court battles with CCE, DECE has been able to keep in touch with the almost 2000 doctors on their list of supporters. When events of importance occurred, they were able to instantly communicate with their list via our NYK bulk email ability. Additionally, they are able to have doctors subscribe to their updates right through there website at www.dece.org.
