Lead to New Accrediting Agency
The International Chiropractors Association has drawn a line in the sand with respect to the issue of chiropractic educational accreditation. In a statement that clearly speaks to the possible formation of a new accrediting agency the ICA Board voted to initiate a dialog with the intention of taking proactive steps in either reforming the current situation, or the formation of a new accrediting agency.
The International Chiropractors Association is gravely concerned over the damage done to the chiropractic profession and the chiropractic educational system in recent months by the actions of the Council on Chiropractic Education (CCE). All responsible parties must be concerned over the maintenance of the credibility, integrity and the restoration of the previously established consensus position the chiropractic accrediting agency had developed over a period of decades. ICA also recognizes the inherent dangers of having a single unchecked accrediting agency with regard to the conservative approach of traditional chiropractic education. The ICA Board of Directors therefore calls for an immediate profession-wide dialogue in the form of a national consensus conference to explore all possible means of restoring the urgently needed balance and fairness in the chiropractic educational accreditation process. We therefore offer to facilitate, support and participate in a broad-based dialog through which these issues can be discussed and a proactive course of action determined.
In commenting on this ICA Board Action, ICA Executive Director, Mr. Ronald M. Hendrickson noted: "This action reflects the massive outpouring of concern over the state of chiropractic education expressed in recent months by thousands of individual DCs and dozens of chiropractic organizations. It also reflects ICA's resolve to defend the fundamental principles of chiropractic and the legitimate concerns of the conservative central core of the profession. It is simply not in the chiropractic profession's best interests to allow a minority to use the accreditation process to push chiropractic in a more medical direction." Mr. Hendrickson reported that ICA has received more communications on the issue of the CCE and its challenge to conservative chiropractic than any other issue in ICA's 77-year history."
New Beginnings / ICPA Event Room Block Sells Out - More Rooms Acquired

draws hundreds and is held three times a year, is teaming up with the
International
Chiropractic
Pediatric Association (ICPA) for an extravaganza event to be held on May 1-4,
2003. These two groups are partnering for the first time for a blockbuster
program emphasizing chiropractic philosophy and chiropractic for children.
The original block of rooms set aside for the event has already sold out.
To
manage the turnout, the extravaganza has added additional rooms for this event.
However, given the response so far, it

This meeting to be held in the Ocean Place Conference Resort, an oceanfront hotel in Long Branch New Jersey, is guaranteed to have something for everyone in attendance. New Now You Know Features Now Active

In many instances Internet Service Providers (ISPs) limit the number of addresses that can be in a single email to a maximum of 25. In these cases many of the recipients on your list may never receive your emails. With our new NYK Newsletter "Self-Mailer" feature, you will be able to send one email you create that will be propagated to your entire patient email list so that each person gets a single email from you. This allows you to easily and securely send messages out to your entire patient base as often as you need to. This new feature is revolutionary, and will make NYK Newsletter subscribers the most up-to-date professionals in healthcare.
