Now You Know Sets Up Display Site.

At Now You Know we have set up a display site to showcase our many features.  We offer this site for our hundreds of offices that have requested some guidance on how to incorporate the many features we offer for our website subscribers.  The display site address is www.brailechiropractic.com . (See thumbnail picture in lead story).  This site represents just one of 33 different templates that we offer for a website with us.   Additionally, we can customize any site with us to include an unlimited amount of customized personal pages specific for your practice and office.  Included on this display site are all five of our Flash movies, over 700 pages of educational content, our new "Chiro-Cube" and many other features.

Additionally, on this site we've included a set of new patient forms that new patients can download and fill out prior to entering your office.  Subscribers to our service can use these forms or can have their own forms placed on the site.  This saves time in your office as well as directing new patients to your website before they even enter your office for the first time.

Chiropractic State Association Sues State Over Accepting National Board

In what has to be truly one of the oddest stories in chiropractic reported in the May 20, 2003 Capital Times from Madison Wisconsin, the Wisconsin Chiropractic Association is suing the Wisconsin State Department of Regulation and Licensing for its decision in December to replace the Wisconsin test for licensing chiropractors with the National Boards.  The state association claims that accepting the National Board would be "dumbing down" the test used to license chiropractors.

"The profession has the long-held belief that the national test is rather easy," said Russ Leonard, executive director of the Wisconsin Chiropractic Association.  Leonard said the move to a national test potentially degrades the competency of newcomers to the field and ultimately compromises public safety.

These comments seem to suggest that the majority of states (presently 44) that do accept the National Board are allowing inferior chiropractors  into their states.  The real motive of the Wisconsin Chiropractic Association may well have been exposed when Leonard stated that since 1990, the number of licensed chiropractors has grown from 700 to about 1,700, in Wisconsin.  This seems to clearly suggest that the motive for this challenge is more rooted in protectionism and limiting the number of new DCs in that state than in any concern for public safety.

Barbara Showers, director of the Wisconsin Department of Regulation and Licensing's Office of Education and Examination, noted that the failure rate for the Wisconsin created test was much higher at an average of 44%,  than the failure for the National Boards test which has a failure rate of 19%.  She reasoned that the higher failure rate on the Wisconsin test may be due to the fact that it is out of date, while the national test was developed with input from chiropractic schools.  "It's not as up-to-date on current teaching," she said of the Wisconsin test.

ChiroTags - As low as only $15 for "Chiropractor":  Shouldn't your car be a form of advertising for your clinic? Do you want thousands to see your name every day? ChiroTags can help you do just that.  All car makers add their logo and name-badge to their cars knowing that it will be seen by millions. If this tactic works for them why not make it work for you.  ChiroTags is a new product available on Chiropractic Depot that you can order directly online through the www.chiropracticdepot.com  website. These name tags can be ordered either with the word "Chiropractor" for $15.00 or with a custom message for $40.00    I decided I wanted the simple message on my new truck so I added the word "Chiropractor" to my rear tailgate. (actual picture right).   ChiroTags can be ordered in either chrome or gold colors and will last as long as your car.  Rarely, do you come across an inexpensive marketing item that can get your name out to so many people so inexpensively. And after all, it looks a whole lot better than bumper stickers.
