My Mission Poster Available Again
In response to overwhelming and continual requests for the Now You Know "My Mission" poster, we are reintroducing the second generation of this poster, and it is available free!
Three years ago we at Now You Know produced 5000 posters called "My Mission for Today". These posters were not for sale but were given out free at each event that we either appeared at, or had a booth at. The demand for these posters was overwhelming and we went through all 5000 of these posters in one year.
Once again we have produced another 5000 of these second generation posters. And once again we are offering these posters free to anyone we see in person at any of the seminars or conventions we have a booth at. The posters are 18 x 24 inches and are perfect for framing in standard poster frames.
Anyone who would like to get one needs to come to one of our booths at any of the events we participate at. These posters are available on a first come first serve basis, and limited numbers will be present at each event. New Beginnings and their Philosophy E-Newsletter Growing
New Beginnings chiropractic philosophy weekends continue to grow attracting hundreds of chiropractors from all over the globe. These meetings, designed to celebrate and share the philosophy of chiropractic, are attracting new attendees and speakers from all over the country. New Beginnings is held three times per year and has moved into a new hotel at the Ocean Place Conference Resort, in Long Branch NJ.
New Beginnings and Now You Know have teamed up to produce an online newsletter that spreads the message of the principles of chiropractic to the world. Each month "The 34th Principle" brings words, wisdom, and insight from many of the profession's best philosophers who have shared their love of chiropractic at New Beginnings. Some of these newsletters speak on pure philosophy, while others focus on the implementation of that philosophy into practice. The response to this new free email newsletter has been very positive. SPAM, Not Only
a Bad Idea, But Also Illegal
SPAM, stands for "Stupid Peoples Advertising Messages". Anyone who reads their email is probably sick of the constant bombardment of "junk email" that seems to overwhelm their inbox. I personally get over 300 SPAM email per day. Fortunately, I have filters on our Now You Know servers that tag these emails so I can delete them automatically without having to open them one at a time.
But now, not only is it annoying, but in many places it is illegal. California will now prohibit Internet advertisers from sending unsolicited e-mails under the toughest law of its kind in the nation, providing for fines up to $1 million. Other states have also put such laws into effect but the California law is by far the toughest.
Although this will not stop all SPAM, it will have an effect on some of the advertisers who produce SPAM. Many of the producers of SPAM come from servers that are outside the USA and for now will escape prosecution. However, strong penalties will make some reconsider.
The chiropractic implications to this new law and others is clear, do not SPAM your community! There are companies that offer services that claim to send bulk broadcast emails out to your community. This is SPAMing and can be subject to prosecution. At Now You Know we have always opposed SPAM and have our own anti SPAMing policy that our hundreds of service subscribers must follow.
With our NYK Email Newsletter service, doctors can send broadcast emails to their lists. However, our policy is that all members of the doctor's list must be either patients or people who have subscribed to the doctor's list. Additionally, every email sent out through our system has a link that allows for an automatic unsubscribe function. Our advice is simple, if you are not sure, don't send it to them. Don't SPAM, not only is it annoying, it may well be illegal.
