The above headline comes from a July 16, 2003 MSNBC news feature. The subheading goes on to say, "But they often can’t find what they’re looking for, study finds". This article reports on the Pew Internet & American Life Project that shows that in 2002, 80 percent of Internet users, or about 93 million Americans, have searched for a health-related topic online.

This new study indicates that looking for health or medical information is one of the most popular activities online. The only Internet uses that have a larger percentage of usage over health information are, e-mail, which is used by 93 percent of the Internet population, and researching a product or service before purchase, which is done by 83 percent of Internet users.

Susannah Fox, Pew’s director of research summed up the study by saying, “It tells us that people are turning to the Internet to make better decisions in their lives, whether buying a book or making a health decision.”

At Now You Know we have led the movement to place as much chiropractic information as possible where patients and the public can see it. Each website with Now You Know comes with over 700 hundred pages of content that promotes the chiropractic paradigm.

As part of the continuing effort to educate the public about the benefits of chiropractic for children, Now You Know has introduced our new Flash movie, "Twinkle Twinkle." This short movie explains the benefits of a child's nervous system free of interference from subluxation.

This new Flash is perfect for those doctors who want to emphasize the benefits of chiropractic for children on their website. This new flash can be used either as an opening to NYK Subscriber's home page or as a stand alone intro to the Children's Chiropractic Research Foundation website.

The International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA) has agreed to allow Now You Know to directly link this Flash movie to their Children's Chiropractic Research Foundation website. This website contains a large volume of Chiropractic pediatric research and articles. This adds hundreds of pages of additional content to Now You Know subscribers websites.

To view this Flash movie, click on the thumbnail. After the movie plays the ICPA's Children's Chiropractic Research Foundation website will open. Current NYK subscribers can have this feature added to their sites by contacting our webmasters.

The ICA has set an ambitious schedule for the Chiropractic Without A Doubt program this fall. This program, featuring Dr. Steve Hoffman and myself, covers the range of science, technique, research, and education technology for chiropractic.
