Imitation, the Ultimate Form of Flattery Now You Know was started in the late 90's not as a business idea, but rather as an offshoot of what I was doing in my practice to educate patients, the community and stimulate referrals. As a chiropractor I knew what was needed to help my practice grow. Being able to start with a blank sheet of technological paper allowed us to create exactly what I needed and wanted. Since that start we have continued to focus on using technology, and creating services that we knew would help the chiropractic practice.
With this in mind, we will continue to offer only those services and technologies that we know are needed and work in practice. We will never sell things to DCs that we would not want ourselves. We know what works and we know what is hype. We have been blessed to become the largest provider of Internet educational services to the chiropractic profession because of innovation, integrity and results. Not only do we have the privilege of handling a large volume of chiropractors websites, but we also donate our expertise to over 25 chiropractic associations. I can tell you that if this was only a business, we would not be here. To us, spreading the message of chiropractic to the world is a mission, it is personal, and we feel honored to serve.

Does Medicine Have an Advantage? Think about it for a minute. If chiropractic works, and if medicine has the horrendous residuals that we continuously hear about, then why are they getting most of the news attention and we get seconds at best. For years we have been saying, "Chiropractic first, medicine second, and surgery last." But if you look at ALL of our schools, the reality is that most community hospitals are bigger than our educational institutions. And finally, in spite of the growing number of people we care for, all expenditures on chiropractic add up to less than 1% of the monies spent on healthcare in the US each year. I mention these things not to depress anyone, but rather to make a point.
The answer is "product"! The practice of medicine by itself could not garner all the news they seem to be getting. However, their products, specifically "drugs" can. It is not the medical profession that has all the money, it is the drug industry. Organized medicine has been bankrolled by the drug industry since the relationship began. Imagine that you are a drug company, you create a product, and the only way you can sell it is through a set of professionals in another profession. With this scenario, how much would you spend to protect those professionals. This is one of the main motivating factors behind the creation of Chiropractic Depot. There is a growing market for health, wellness, and fitness products. Chiropractors are the natural professionals to help people in making decisions in these areas. It is high time we brought our profession, and this industry together. Chiropractic Depot is designed to do just that. Isn't it about time that manufacturers of health, wellness and fitness products start saying, "recommended by leading chiropractors!" This is our vision. We see a day when a sizable portion of the multi-billion dollar health and fitness industry is earmarked to promote chiropractic. In over 110 years, we have been unable to afford paying for promotion ourselves. So maybe it is time to ask someone else to help foot the bill. Chiropractic Depot is not just designed to help the chiropractor grow his practice, it is desinged to help CHIROPRACTIC grow as well. |

The Good, the Bad, and the Subluxated! - AKA - Chiropractic in the News We review the world wide web almost every day for articles for our NYK patient newsletter. In reading hundreds of articles, there are always stories that do not make it into our patient newsletter but are of interest to us as chiropractors. Not all of these stories are good, and many of them I do not agree with, but we felt you should know about them. So if you don't have hours to search the world wide web for articles that concern us as chiropractors, just review the links below.
