Chiropractors Targeted for Scam

Recently we have noticed that a website company has been calling chiropractors and implying that they are somehow connected with Now You Know.  Several NYK subscribers have called asking if our people would use such heavy handed tactics to generate sales.

The company whose representatives have been calling DCs is ChiroMatrix, a subsidiary of iMatrix. This company is NOT a chiropractic company, and in fact, sells to a number of groups including Acupuncture, Dental, Optometry, Veterinary, and Chiropractic.

Below is a letter sent by a concerned NYK subscriber who was approached by a representative of ChiroMatrix and falsely led the chiropractor to believe he was part of Now You Know. The chiropractor was so upset he wrote about his experience and asked that we spread the word to help prevent other chiropractors from being taken advantage of.

To whom it may concern at Now You Know,

I just got off the phone with Ryan Logan from Chiro Matrix. He called my chiropractic office and insinuated that he was affiliated with your company. He did this to speak with the decision maker. He did not know that I am the decision maker. He has called multiple times and has been told repeatedly that we would call him if the decision maker was interested in his service.

Today, I gathered information from Ryan before I would comment on whether or not Dr. Reilly was available. I got his name, phone # and reason for calling. He said it was about our partnership with Now You Know. He pretended like the doctor was expecting his phone call and said is was about Now You Know.

Before he would give me the best number to reach him, he asked, "Is the doctor available?" I did not answer his question until he answered mine, "what is the best # to reach you, what is this regarding, is the doctor expecting your call." Then when I told him we would call him back if interested, he scoffed at was indignant and belligerent.

I called Now you Know and spoke with Brandy. I was going to cancel my contract with now you know because I did not appreciate the phone call. Come to find out, Chiro Matrix is not affiliated with Now you Know.

As a satisfied customer of Now You Know, and because of the High regard I have for Dr. Bobby Braile, I encourage Now You Know to investigate this competitor's practices. They are deceptive, dishonest, unprofessional and unacceptable.

Dr. Bob Braile, CEO of Now You Know, commented, "I am a chiropractor, we are a chiropractic company.  We will never do anything to jeopardize or mislead fellow DCs.  It has always saddened me when chiropractors are taken advantage of by companies from outside our profession who claim to know more about marketing chiropractic then those of us who have been doing it for decades."

There are several things that NYK recommends to avoid falling victim to this recent scam. They are:

  1. If someone calls and says things like, "We want to help you with your Now You Know website." or "We are calling about your Now You Know website," ask them to identify themselves and clearly ask if they are an employee of Now You Know. If you are still not sure, hang up the phone and call our toll-free number at 800-695-8937 and ask for that person.  If they work for us, we will let you know.
  2. Be careful of anyone claiming to be able to improve your SEO rankings. NYK sites are some of  the best at SEO and our talented staff can show you how to make your site perform even better. We do not have "partners" helping our subscribers with SEO.
  3. We do not ask for contracts!  If you are approached by someone who wants to "upgrade" your site and requires a contract, hang up. We do not require fellow DCs to sign contracts for our services.  We have to earn your business every day.

This year two dynamic leaders, Dr. Ed Cordero and Dr. Rob Schiffman, will inspire and enlighten with their passion and love for chiropractic. Dr. Edwin Cordero began his tenure as the fifth president of Sherman College of Chiropractic on January 1, 2013. He is passionate about inspiring, motivating, and leading future chiropractors to a better understanding of the principles of chiropractic so they can make a positive impact in the communities they will serve around the world.

Dr. Rob Schiffman runs the largest chiropractic practice in the history of our profession having seen nearly 4000 visits per week AS A SOLO PRACTITIONER !  Additionally, Dr. Schiffman is the founder of "Reach The World Chiropractic", a seminar and coaching program that has mentored some of the largest, most successful practices in the world.

Since this is an outdoor event, there are several things to remember.

  1. Bring your own folding chairs and folding tables.  You will not want to bring a blanket to sit on the ground as you never know what might join you there.

  2. Bring bug spray if bugs annoy you.

  3. Wear appropriate footwear.  Remember you will be in a pasture and may step in something.

  4. You can bring water or soda ONLY in plastic containers or cans. NO GLASS PLEASE!  Also, do not bring any alcoholic beverages.

  5. DO NOT bring barbeques, candles or anything with FIRE as there is hay on the ground in many places and we do not want to chance starting a ground fire.

  6. Children are welcome but must be supervised at ALL TIMES. Please do not let them chase any ducks or other animals as this is their home.

  7. No flash photography.  You'd be surprised how high a Clydesdale can jump and you do not want to spook any of the horses.

  8. Please do not feed the horses! They are on a strict diet.

  9. You may bring bread to feed the ducks.

  10. If you wish to feed the Galapagos tortoises, please bring carrots, bananas, cucumbers, or watermelon. Please ask for supervision to feed them as they can mistakenly eat your finger. NO SITTING ON THE TORTOISES! (or one of us will sit on you!)
