A Video is Worth a Few Thousand Words

Every time I am on the road showing my fellow DCs the services of Now You Know, I get the reaction, "Wow, I didn't know you guys do that!"  As a testament to how fast our technology is advancing, I even get this reaction from NYK subscribers who have been with our services for years.  It  seems that with the ongoing addition of services and features, we are racing far ahead of our subscribers and the chiropractic community in general.

Now you know (yes pun intended), that we are not going to slow down advancing our features and services. But what we will do is bring everyone along for the ride by accelerating our subscriber and profession-wide communications.

So from here on, NYK is entering the "Video Age."  We have started an aggressive campaign of creating videos to explain how to grow your practice using the services of NYK.  We have already created over a dozen support and how-to videos.  We have also started a regular subscriber email newsletter called, "Did You Know."

In addition to the support videos, NYK subscribers can also schedule a live online class to teach them and their staff how to use our services.  We realize that technology is changing fast, and NYK technology is right at the cutting edge. For this reason, we are committed to keeping you in the loop in every way we can.

Thank You Dr. BJ Harman - NYK Co-Founder Announces Retirement

My dear friend and co-founder, Dr. BJ Harman, has retired from Now You Know. He has returned to his first love, teaching chiropractic.  He is now at Life University sharing his knowledge and passion for chiropractic with the future of our profession.

"BJ", as most of us have always known him, has been an invaluable part of the development and growth of NYK. We are all the better for him having been a part of our company.  His message below speaks to the inspiration he has been to our company, and to me personally.

As a partner, I will miss his daily influence on every aspect of our company. As a chiropractor, I rejoice that our students will get to learn from this rare chiropractic treasure. And as a friend, my heart is flooded with mixed emotions as I will miss seeing him at the NYK headquarters, yet I feel happiness that he is following his heart, passion, and principle. 

Enjoy, my friend. You've earned it.  And I know you'll understand when I say, "It doesn't suck."

Dear Friends and Colleagues,

Over 15 years ago my good friend Dr. Bobby Braile, myself and our wives went out to dinner on my birthday and Bobby pitched an idea to us about starting a business providing email newsletters for other Chiropractors. At that moment Now You Know was born and we started the next month with two subscribers and subsequently added new subscribers by the many.

Several months later we were asked if we were doing websites and not knowing much about websites, said we will have a design in 30 days. We brought on a 3rd partner and the NYK website service started with one website design and one part-time webmaster, who incidentally was a Life U student.

We have added staff, products, features and services over the past 15+ years and it has been a great ride. I have renewed friendships with many Chiropractors I knew from my days in practice, met hundreds of new Chiropractors, and re-acquainted with many of my former students from my teaching days at Life University in the 1990’s.

To say that my family and I have been blessed beyond our dreams the past 15+ years would be a gross understatement.

However at this time an opportunity has presented itself in the form of a return to teaching at Life University and it is an opportunity that I am genuinely excited about. There is an energy and passion on the campus that I wanted to be part of. However it is with great sadness that my time at NYK has come to an end. My two partners and outstanding staff will continue to provide the profession with top flight products and outstanding customer service. I firmly believe when one door closes another one opens and teaching new Chiropractors is one of my great passions.

If you find yourself in the position of being a field doctor to potential chiropractors, please have them consider Life University as the students there are getting an incomparable education at what is once again the finest Chiropractic institution on the planet.
