Keep Your Fork !!
A true story, to make you think !!

There was a woman who had been diagnosed with a terminal illness and had been given three months to live. So as she was getting her things "in order", she contacted her pastor and had him come to her house to discuss certain aspects of her final wishes.

She told him which songs she wanted sung at the service, what scriptures she wanted read and what outfit she wanted to be buried in. The woman also requested to be buried with her favorite Bible. Everything was in order and the pastor was preparing to leave when the woman suddenly remembered something very important to her.

"There's one more thing", she said excitedly.

"What's that?" came the pastors reply.

"This is very important, " the woman continued, "I want to be buried with a fork in my right hand"

The pastor stood looking at the woman, not knowing quite what to say.

"That surprises you doesn't it?" the woman asked.

"Well to be honest, I'm puzzled bit he request," said the pastor.

The woman explained. "In all my years of attending church socials and potluck diners, I always remember that when the dishes of the main course were being cleared, someone would inevitably lean over and say "Keep Your Fork". It was my favorite part because I knew that something better was a velvety chocolate cake or deep dish apple pie. Something wonderful, and with substance! So, I just want people to see me there in that casket with a fork in my hand and I want them to wonder, "What's with the fork?' Then I want you to tell them: 'Keep your fork. The best is yet to come".

The pastor's eyes welled up with tears of joy as he hugged the woman good-bye. He knew this would be one of the last times he would see her before her death.. But he also knew that the woman had a better grasp of heaven than he did. She KNEW that something better was coming.

At the funeral, people were walking by the woman's casket and they saw the pretty dress she was wearing and her favorite Bible and the fork placed in her right hand. Over and over the pastor heard the question: "What's with the fork?" and over and over he smiled.

During his message, the pastor told the people of the conversation he had with the woman shortly before she died. He also told them about the fork and about what it symbolized to her. The pastor told the people how he could not stop thinking about the fork and told them that they probably would not be able to stop thinking about it either. He was right.

So the next time you reach down for your fork, let it remind you, oh so gently, that the best is yet to come...

May God flow from Above, Down, his Bounteous Strength to create in each of you a New Beginnings for a New Future..

All My Love, Loyalty and Friendship..

Happy Thanksgiving...& keep your fork !!

Is There Chiropractic Meaning in Your Life?
By  Dr. John P. Maher

“A Universal Intelligence is in all matter and continually gives to it all its properties and actions, thus maintaining it in existence. The expression of this intelligence through matter is the Chiropractic meaning of life.” (R.W. Stephensen DC PhC The Chiropractic Textbook 1927)

The term intelligence is defined as

The capacity to acquire and apply knowledge. (The American Heritage® Dictionary of the English Language: Fourth Edition. 2000.)

Intelligence, term usually referring to a general mental capability to reason, solve problems, think abstractly, learn and understand new material, and profit from past experience. Intelligence can be measured by many different kinds of tasks. Likewise, this ability is expressed in many aspects of a person’s life. Intelligence draws on a variety of mental processes, including memory, learning, perception, decision-making, thinking, and reasoning.( 2003 Microsoft Encarta)

If we look at the stars in the night sky are they organized in a reproducible pattern? Through this celestial composition, people have guided their journey upon this earth for thousands of years. Many historical references describe the coordinates of the night sky. These references include travelers, sailors, and even the three wise men.

Each star may include as many planets or more than our solar system. Are each of these solar systems organized in a comprehensible reproducible pattern? So much so that we base our entire existence of time and space on the revolution of a single planet around one star. We live a finite existence in an infinite opportunity of possibilities.

What about the atomic building blocks of our world? Are the protons, neutrons, and electrons which make up the matter in our universe organized? The atomic chart has been defined by the organization of the atomic building blocks.

Einstein once said, “The scientist's religious feeling takes the form of a rapturous amazement at the harmony of natural law, which reveals an intelligence of such superiority that, compared with it, all the systematic thinking and acting of human beings is an utterly insignificant reflection.” (Iain, P. Science, Theology and Einstein. New York: Oxford University Press, 1982, p57)

The currently accepted measurement of intelligence utilizes learning, perception, decision-making, thinking, and reasoning. When these measurements are applied to the organization presently observed in our universe, we find an immeasurable, infinite intelligence present. An intelligence large enough to organize all matter in the universe at all times maybe inconceivable to the educated finite mind of mankind. The truth remains scientifically self-evident that there exists a Universal Intelligence from the largest grouping of matter in our universe to the smallest atomic particle.

Each Chiropractor is made up of matter. A matter that contains certain Chiropractic Properties that must take certain Chiropractic Actions in order to maintain it in existence.

The expression of this Universal Intelligence through your matter is the Chiropractic Meaning of Life. Do you believe it is a coincidence that you are surrounded by subluxated people and have the goods to make a difference? Not when the Major Premise of Chiropractic is that “A Universal Intelligence is in all matter and continually gives to it all its properties and actions, thus maintaining it in existence.” (R.W. Stephensen DC PhC The Chiropractic Textbook 1927)

There has never been a better time to be a Chiropractor. It is time for a New Beginning for a New Future. If not now, when? If not you, then who? The Mission of Chiropractic is to move the world ...which will be done when it becomes known and is appreciated by masses for its true value. (p.161 Conflicts Clarify BJ Palmer 1951) Let us get moving!
